About FELE
The Federación Leonesa de Empresarios (FELE) was founded in May 1977 and is currently made up of more than 60 sectorial business associations. As a cross-sectoral business association in the province of León, the Federation is a full member and co-founder of CEOE Castilla y León (Confederation of Business Organisations of Castilla y León), CEPYME (Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) and CEOE (Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations).
FELE is a member of the Governing Board, Executive Committee, Board of Directors and Assembly of CEOE, as well as the Board of Directors and Assembly of CEPYME. It has been present for more than 20 years at the International Labour Organisation (ILO) in Geneva and it has been actively involved in drafting its legal instruments over this time.
It has been present and involved in the European social dialogue and collective bargaining (Brussels), where the European Union’s Conventional Directives were drafted. It has also been present and it has advised the Social Commission of the Andean Pact and Mercosur Countries.
Additionally, it has participated in front the Delegation of the European Union in works and seminars on fundamental rights presented at the Nice European Summit.

The Asociación de Mujeres Empresarias y Directivas de León (ASELE), is a business association, created in 2019 in León, to give a voice to the group of businesswomen, managers and self-employed women in the province of León.
It currently has around a hundred members.
It promotes the woman empowerment looking for professional and salary equality and family co-responsibility through the creation of collaborative networks and training courses.
It is a member of FELE, and therefore also of CEOE, CEPYME and CEOE Castilla y León.
ASELE’s values are: genderless talent, visibility, representativeness, collaboration, female empowerment and education in equality.

Levidrio
Levidrio was born in Leon in 1979 with a small and modest workshop in the central neighborhood of “El Ejido” with only 2 workers. It grew, little by little, facing new challenges and increasing the staff, until 1986, when part of the workshop was moved to a warehouse in the town of Villaturiel, León. From there, with larger facilities, new vehicles and more staff, we managed to carve a niche for ourselves in the difficult world of glass until we became a reference in the national market.

Gender diversity on corporate boards:
A road to sustainability
Gender diversity in corporate decision making would lead to a development in economic and social welfare.
In this project, internal corporate governance mechanisms and best practices, common to different cultures within Europe that promote gender diversity will be identified and promoted through adult education modules. Thus, the main aim of the project is to identify the internal corporate governance mechanisms that support “gender diversity and women voice” on corporate boards for different cultures and find the commonalities to promote them across countries.
